Mesclando millenals e geração Z, uma nova trend que mistura trap com os anos 1990 vem dominando as redes sociais. Em resumo, o desafio feito por duas pessoas, usa um remix do icônico "What's Up?", dos 4 Non Blondes, com um trecho de "Beez in the Trap", da rapper Nicki Minaj em parceria com 2 Chainz.
De costas uma para a outra, a pessoa mais velha levanta a voz com a primeira canção e, num giro da câmera, surge a geração mais nova com o rap da artista norte-americana.
O viral ganhou destaque a partir do mash-up criado pelo usuário @dj.auxlord, que combinou a voz de Linda Perry com os versos de Minaj, publicado em agosto. Já no final de outubro, o remix explodiu, com mais de 460 mil vídeos usando o áudio e milhões de visualizações acumuladas.
Nomes como Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Sabrina Carpenter, Malala Yousafzai e Jimmy Fallon já se renderam à trend. Já em terras brasileiras, Anitta, Luciana Gimenez, Marina Sena e até Ana Marina Braga também aderiram ao desafio.
"Não acreditamos no sucesso que essa tendência está fazendo", disse Linda Perry, vocalista do 4 Non Blondes, compartilhando as melhores versões.
