Os primeiros três pontos do Super Bowl LVII disputado entre Kansas City Chiefs e San Francisco 49ers, neste domingo (11), em Las Vegas, vieram de um feito histórico.
Kicker do 49ers, Jake Moody acertou um field goal de 55 jardas — cerca de 50 metros — de distância e abriu 3 a 0 no placar, no segundo quarto. O chute do novato era o mais distante já acertado na história do Super Bowl, quebrando um recorde de 29 anos.
O problema é que Moody praticamente não conseguiu comemorar o feito. No terceiro quarto, Harrison Butker, kicker do Kansas City Chiefs, acertou um field goal de 57 jardas (52m) de distância e assumiu o recorde.

Com o chute de Butker, o Chiefs conseguiu diminuir a diferença no placar para 10 a 6 a favor dos 49ers. No fim daquele terceiro quarto, o time de Patrick Mahomes e Travis Kelce já tinha virado o jogo.
