O Billboard Music Awards 2022, uma das premiações mais esperadas da música mundial, foi realizado nesse domingo (15), no MGM Grand Garden Arena, em Las Vegas.
Com o rapper Sean "Diddy" de anfitrião, a noite estava repleta de ícones da música, tanto no palco como na plateia, todos para descobrir quais são os artistas que mais se destacaram no último ano, tanto nas plataformas de streaming, como em venda de álbuns e músicas digitais ou em engajamento com os fãs nas redes sociais.
Doja Cat, que havia sido indicada a 14 prêmios, foi uma das grandes estrelas, ao vencer nas categorias de Melhor Artista de R&B e Melhor Artista Feminina de R&B. Assim, como Olivia Rodrigo, que ganhou como Artista Feminina e Revelação.
O Brasil foi representado com Anitta no palco, que, ao lado do cantor canadense Michael Bublé, anunciou os vencedores de Melhor Artista Country Duo/Grupo, Dan + Shay.
