A Apple Music anunciou o lançamento da lista "100 Best Albums", que traz o ranking dos melhores discos da história, a partir da colaboração e supervisão de artistas e especialistas da indústria musical. Nomes como Pharrell Williams, J Balvin, Maren Morris e Charli XCX participaram do processo de curadoria.

De acordo com comunicado dos serviços de streaming, o levantamento é "uma carta de amor aos álbuns que moldaram o mundo em que vivemos", completamente independente da relação com o alcance de streams registrados na plataforma.

No topo está The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, lançado em 1998, à frente de Thriller, de 1982, e Abbey Road, de 1969.
